Rare Polyhedroid Agate Pendant
Size: 3.7cm x 4.8cm
Polyhedroid Agates from Paraiba, Brazil are perhaps the most unique and desirable of all agates. Mined in the 1970’s from a single location these agates formed in geometric shapes, the theory being that they formed in the voids between interlaced Calcite crystals. Some nodules are solid while others are hollow but the most desirable have distinctive fortification bands that follow the triangular or trapezoidal shape of the agate. These polished specimens represent a great chance to add to your agate collection
