African Shangaan Amethyst and lightning ridge opal point pendant

Behold the power and beauty of this African Shangaan Amethyst! Simply stunning, these pieces were only recently found and have been hand-selected with enhydros, scepters or hematite inclusions. Although not every piece has every inclusion, they all have something special in them and are absolutely gorgeous. This particular gem comes from the Chibuku mine and is named after the place it comes from – the Shangaan tribal area in Zimbabwe, Africa. 

These crystals were shared as part of an agreement: The elders of this region have asked that these crystals be shared to raise awareness about the communal lands in Zimbabwe and to encourage people to share their perspective on their medicine. The chief of this area has asked for these crystals to be worked with and for us to come into relationship with the medicine that they hold. Others who have worked with these crystals have spoken of their incredible feminine energy. This Shangaan Amethyst is a master healer and brings transformation. Amethyst in general brings balance and peace and is a great stone of purification. It encourages spiritual evolution and facilitates mental and spiritual detoxification. African Shangaan Amethyst is often mistaken for brandberg amethyst, but they are not the same. Brandberg amethyst is a blend of amethyst and clear and smoky quartz, while African Shangaan Amethyst is amethyst with enhydros, scepters, and/or hematite inclusions.
